Dothan Concrete Company was started in 2025 by a crew that had spent years watching homeowners in Dothan and the surrounding Wiregrass region get burned by concrete work that looked fine on day one and started cracking within a couple of seasons. The sandy soil here, the summer heat, the 58 inches of rain the area gets every year - these things matter when you are pouring concrete, and not every contractor accounts for them.
We are based right here in Dothan, on the same streets where our customers live. We know the neighborhoods near Wiregrass Commons, the older brick ranch homes closer to downtown, and the newer subdivisions that have grown up on the north and west sides of the city. That familiarity shows up in how we work - in the base preparation we insist on, in the way we schedule pours to avoid the worst of the afternoon heat, and in the permits we pull before any crew sets foot on your property.
Since 2025, we have expanded to serve 12 communities across southeast Alabama and south Georgia. Our focus has stayed the same: concrete work done correctly the first time, with no surprises on the bill or the timeline.
Every project we touch is fully permitted and inspected. You should never have to worry about unpermitted work coming back to haunt you when you sell your home or file an insurance claim.
The work you never see - compacting the ground, setting the right base - is the work that determines whether your concrete lasts 5 years or 40. We do not skip it.
We tell you when we will start, how long it will take, and when the concrete needs to cure before you use it. No vague promises, no moving dates without a call.
Dothan's sandy soil, heavy rainfall, and Alabama heat all affect how concrete is poured and how long it lasts. We factor every one of those conditions into every job we do.
Dothan Concrete Company holds a valid General Contractor license issued by the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors, which covers concrete flatwork and structural concrete work throughout the state of Alabama. Every project we take on in Alabama is covered under our license - we do not subcontract to unlicensed crews.
We carry full general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage on every job. If something goes wrong on your property, you are not left holding the bill. We can provide proof of insurance before any work begins - just ask.
